He used the M40 sniper rifle, a modified version of the Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle that became the standard sniper rifle for the U.S. military.

3. Lyudmila Pavlichenko – Lyudmila Pavlichenko was a Soviet sniper who fought in World War II, becoming one of the most successful female snipers in history. Pavlichenko is credited with 309 confirmed kills, making her one of the deadliest snipers of the war. She used the Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 rifle, the standard Soviet sniper rifle at the time.

4. Rob Furlong – Rob Furlong was a Canadian sniper who served in Afghanistan as part of Joint Task Force 2. Furlong achieved fame for his record-setting kill shot at a distance of 2,430 meters (almost 1.5 miles) using a .50 caliber McMillan Tac-50 rifle. This shot set a record for the longest confirmed sniper kill at the time.
